DOUGLASSVILLE >> The residents and staff of Keystone Villa kicked off Independence Day weekend by welcoming home Marine Corps brothers Cpl. Adam and Lance Cpl. Greg Seanor on Friday.

Their mother, Sue Seanor, is the executive direc- tor at Keystone Villa, and the residents there have been supporting her sons during their service in the military.

Cpl. Adam Seanor returned home in June after a deployment in Iraq. He was wounded following a rocket attack on March 19. He received a Purple Heart in April for demonstrating composure and proficiency during a mass casualty event. The recognition took place in the exact spot where the rocket incident occurred.

His brother, Lance Cpl. Greg Seanor, is stationed in North Carolina and is also home on leave.

Sue Seanor explained how everyone at Keystone Villa was very excited to welcome her sons home.

“The residents and their families as well as the staff have been super supportive of our family and sent cards and letters to Adam while he was deployed. They also lifted my spirits as we dealt with Adams injury and the separation.”

The brothers are both graduates of Boyertown Area Senior High School.

In addition to the homecoming celebration, a flag raising ceremony was held at Keystone Villa commemorate Independence Day on July 4. Veteran Bill Oxen- ford who was in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War and John Althenn a World War II veteran in the Army Air Corps helped to raise the flag.
