If you’re looking for what’s happening in the local theater scene, here’s a round-up of shows that are coming up.

Fleetwood Community Theatre presents Mel Brooks’ uproariously funny Broadway musical, “The Producers” July 21-23. Tara Sands directs this outrageous Tony-Award winning show with its improbable plot. Two men decide to deliberately produce a Broadway flop so they can abscond with the millions backers have provided. Much to their surprise, “Springtime For Hitler” becomes a huge hit. FCT presents this irreverent romp at Fleetwood High School, 803 Richmond St. in Fleetwood. Tickets are $15 and are available at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2557299.

SALT Performing Arts presents “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe” July 22-24. This

new dramatization of C.S. Lewis’ classic, set in the land of Narnia, faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, neverto-be-forgotten Narnia. The intense action features chases, duels and escapes as the witch is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan. Performances are at the outdoor amphitheatre (bring a blanket, concessions will be available for purchase) July 22 at 7 p.m., July 23 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and July 24 at 7 p.m.

Ticket reservations are not required. Donations will be accepted during the performance. Approximate running time is 80 minutes. SALT Performing Arts is located at 1645 Art School Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425. For more information, go to www.saltpa.com.

Forge Theatre presents “Three Viewings” by Jeffrey Hatcher July 22-24. Three characters take you through their backstories as well as that of their loved ones at the viewings. Along the way, we learn of their quirks as they simultaneously share their pain and put the “fun” into funeral. This beautifully written gem does not overplay the themes of death and loss. Rather, the three comic/ dramatic storylines are both poignant and humorous. The show stars Randy Knox, Nancy Kadwill, and Pam Taylor. Performances are July 22,23,29,30 at 8 p.m. and July 24 at 2 p.m. at 241 First Avenue in Phoenixville. Admission is $15 at the door or for reserva- tions in advance, call 610935-1920, or go to forgetheatre.org

Yocum Institute for the Arts presents “Broadway Jr: Robyn Hood of Deadwood.”

This delightful topsyturvy musical version of Robin Hood is set in the Wild West where Robyn is accompanied by a band of Merry Gals and her devoted admirer is the unfortunately named Marion Wayne. Notorious female outlaw Robyn Hood is determined to settle several scores with John Prince after he stole her father’s land, driving him and Robyn’s mother to an early grave. Now John has discovered gold in the very same river that rightfully belongs to Robyn, but the heroine is ‘darned’ if she’ll let him keep it! Performances are July 29 at 7 p.m. and July 30 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Miller Center for the Arts. Tickets are $10.
