Freedman Gallery presents Brian Glaze
Set for display Aug. 30 through Dec. 17
Albright College’s Freedman Gallery will present Brian Glaze, a solo exhibition of work by Brian Glaze, Albright’s newest assistant professor of art.
The exhibition includes, Brian Glaze, Implements, on view in the Main Gallery, Aug. 30 to Dec. 17, and Brian Glaze, Television, a video on view in the Foyer, Aug. 30 to Oct. 14.
The exhibitions are free and open to the public.
Glaze’s body of work stems from past and present themes concerning consumerism, technology and manufacturing. With these fleeting technologies, his work presents new meaning to found objects through viewer interaction and participation. Glaze’s notable exhibitions include the UFVA New Media Exhibition, Emerson College, Boston, Mass.; the Berlin Project, Germany; and the ArtVenice Biennale 3, Italy.
Glaze received a master of fine arts in sculpture from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. He was previously assistant professor of art/department chair, University of South Carolina at Beaufort.
