Lyons Fid­dle Fest draws crowd.

33rd an­nual Lyons Fid­dle Fes­ti­val draws crowds to Lyons Park, even in rain

The 33rd An­nual Lyons Fid­dle Fes­ti­val opened with a gospel ser­vice, rain and a per­for­mance by Crow Hill on Sept. 18. The fes­ti­val fea­tured di­verse groups from a va­ri­ety of places and in­di­vid­ual per­form­ers be­tween the dif­fer­ent age groups for the fid­dle con­tests. For ex­am­ple, the Ste­vie Barr Trio came up from Vir­ginia to play at the fes­ti­val. Also, fid­dle fans from near and far trav­eled to Lyons to jam with other fid­dlers. There was also food and ven­dors.

The 33rd an­nual Lyons Fid­dle Fes­ti­val on Sept. 18fea­tured a va­ri­ety of acts from near and far. Af­ter find­ing out one of the bands could not be at the fes­ti­val, Larry Ross, stage man­ager, was on the phone the night be­fore the fes­ti­val and at 10p.m., Grexin’ of Read­ing agreed to come and play for the Fid­dle Fes­ti­val. They per­form Gypsy, Folk, Psychedelic Blues - Jam-Grass.
