33rd annual Lyons Fiddle Festival draws crowds to Lyons Park, even in rain
The 33rd Annual Lyons Fiddle Festival opened with a gospel service, rain and a performance by Crow Hill on Sept. 18. The festival featured diverse groups from a variety of places and individual performers between the different age groups for the fiddle contests. For example, the Stevie Barr Trio came up from Virginia to play at the festival. Also, fiddle fans from near and far traveled to Lyons to jam with other fiddlers. There was also food and vendors.

The 33rd annual Lyons Fiddle Festival on Sept. 18featured a variety of acts from near and far. After finding out one of the bands could not be at the festival, Larry Ross, stage manager, was on the phone the night before the festival and at 10p.m., Grexin’ of Reading agreed to come and play for the Fiddle Festival. They perform Gypsy, Folk, Psychedelic Blues - Jam-Grass.
