Halloween and well stocked with candy for the trick or treaters. Hot dogs, snacks and drinks along with games and prizes will be free. There will also be face painting and pumpkins can be painted and taken home as decorations. There will be a bake sale featuring autumnal recipes in conjunction with the Trunk or Treat and proceeds from that will benefit the community. Oct. 26 Spirit Bereavement Support Group: will hold its monthly meeting Wednesday Oct. 26at 6p.m.at the Exeter Community Library. The group is for those that are survivors of the sudden unexpected death of their spouse or significant other. No registration is required and it is FREE. Pagoda Writers: The Pagoda Writers group gets together from 1to 3p.m. the first Saturday of every month on the second floor of the Pagoda, 98Duryea Dr., Reading. Stitching Circle: The Mifflin Community Library’s Evening Stitching Circle meets every Monday from 6:30-8p.m., and the Afternoon Stitching Circle meets every Wednesday from 1-3p.m. New members are always welcome and should bring their own materials. There are currently between 12-15members who sew, knit and crochet. The group works on personal projects as well as service projects to benefit the community. Come join in loads of fun & stitching! Writers group: Mifflin Writers Group continues to meet the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6:30-8 p.m. Mifflin Writers Group is composed of writers of all genres and levels of experience. Their purpose is to motivate, inspire, instruct, inform, share and critique each other in their writing efforts in a free flowing and relaxed atmosphere. Come get writing! Most programs encourage pre-registration and take place downstairs at the Mifflin Community Library unless otherwise noted.
