‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow’ comes to life Oct. 29

Adaptation of Washington Irving’s story at Pennypacke­r Mills

What better way to get into the All Hallows Eve spirit than a performanc­e of the renowned play by Washington Irving, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”

On Saturday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m .come to Pennypacke­r Mills to enjoy a free af ternoon performanc­e by actor Neill Hartley as he portrays Ichabod Crane. See Ichabod lead the audience in song and dancing with his love. Then, follow him on his fateful journey home as he meets the Headless Horseman.

Neill Hartley is a wellknown actor of numerous television shows, regional theater performanc­es and movies who will share his creative talents in this inspiring performanc­e that is sure to captivate all ages. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on.

Please note that the Route 73 Bridge over the Perkiomen Creek near the site entrance is closed. There is a short detour to reach the site; follow the signs. Pennypacke­r Mills is open year-round for guided tours, seasonal events, educationa­l programs, and changing exhibits.

The site is operated by the Montgomery County Division of Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites, and is located at 5 Haldeman Road in Schwenksvi­lle.
