Police said at around 11:55 p.m. on Oct. 21, officers were on patrol when they pulled behind the vehicle near Township Line Road and Route 100 South. Upon realizing the vehicle had been stolen, police turned on emergency lights and sirens and the Outback accelerated.

The Outback continued onto Pine Forge Road where all of the vehicle’s lights were turned off before turning onto Douglass Drive and then Benjamin Franklin Highway. The vehicle continued west bound on Route 422 and ran another red light at Maplewood Drive.

The vehicle slowed after running over a spike placed on the road by Amity Township police officers. The tire eventually came off the vehicle completely, leaving the driver, later identified as Shreve, driving on just a rim. The vehicle stopped in front of R&R Games, police said.

Officers made contact with Shreve and his two passengers and stated that a strong odor of alcohol was emanating from Shreve. Inside the vehicle, police noticed several empty cans of Natural Ice. Police also ran Shreve’s driving record and found that he had a suspended license.
