Bluegrass will liven up Reinholds Nov. 5

An evening of bluegrass music will be held Nov. 5 at the Reinholds Fire Company Banquet Hall, Routet 897, in Reinholds, featuring Bluestone.

Bluestone has been together more tha 20 years and their members are Carroll Swam (guitar/ lead vocals), Dick Laird (mandolin/tenor), Heath Laird (acoustic bass), Russ Hooper (dobro), Jeff Laird (2nd guitar/ vocals), Jon Glik (fiddle) and Tom Neal (banjo/baritone vocals).

This hard-driving veteran bluegrass band brings together musicians who have played with some of the best including Del McCoury, Jimmy Martin, Cliff Waldron and Bill Harrell. Firmly grounded in traditiona­l bluegrass, Bluestone’s music incorporat­es gospel, country, blues, swing and folk influences. A few of the places they have played are Song of the Mountain, Marion, Va., Arcadia Blue- grass Festival, Arcadia Md., Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival, Gettysburg, Pa., Bethlehem-Musikfest, Bethlehem, Pa., Bridgewate­r Bluegrass Festival, Nova Scotia and Lucketts Bluegrass Show in Lucketts, Va.

Come on out to the Reinholds Fire Company Banquet Hall, (Route #897), and make welcome Bluestone at 6pm. The doors open at 5pm. Food will be available by the Fire Company.
