Birdsboro Community Blue Christmas Worship: From 6:30-7:30p.m. Dec. 8at St. Paul’s UCC in Birdsboro. Are you grieving, weighted by cares, or just want to be touched by the living, healing presence of God? Experience Christ’s blessings through candle lighting, anointing prayers, Holy Communion, music, scripture, and silence. Light refreshments to follow Dec. 9-10 Antietam High School Footlights Drama Club: presents “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at 7p.m. Dec. 9and 10at the Mt. Penn Primary Center. $5General Seating.

Dec. 9-10

Christkindlmarket: The Daniel Boone Homestead will be featuring its first Christkindlmarket on Friday, Dec. 9and Saturday, Dec. 10 from 4to 9p.m. both nights. It will feature local wineries at the lodge, luminaries and Christmas lights, with the sound of Christmas music lingering in the air, gifts by local artisians and the Boone house lit and decorated for Christmas. The bank barn and blacksmith shop will be open as well. You can watch the blacksmith hard at work making hand forged Christmas gifts. Call for more information, at 610-582-4900.

Dec. 10

Breakfast with Santa: On Saturday, Dec. 10, come and enjoy an all-you-caneat buffet with Santa. Served from 8– 11a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church, 1188Ben Franklin Hwy East, Douglassville. The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, toast, coffee, tea, and orange juice. Children 10& under are free. Parking and entrance at rear of building. Don’t forget to bring your list for Santa!

Garden Club: Pottstown Area Garden Club welcomes amateurs interested in all aspects of gardening. Meetings are held the first Friday of every month at St. James Lutheran Church, 1101E. Stitching Circle: The Mifflin Community Library’s Evening Stitching Circle meets every Monday from 6:30-8p.m., and the Afternoon Stitching Circle meets every Wednesday from 1-3p.m. New members are always welcome and should bring their own materials. There are currently between 12-15 members who sew, knit and crochet. The group works on personal projects as well as service projects to benefit the community. Come join in loads of fun & stitching! Writers group: Mifflin Writers Group continues to meet the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6:30-8 p.m. Mifflin Writers Group is composed of writers of all genres and levels of experience. Their purpose is to motivate, inspire, instruct, inform, share and critique each other in their writing efforts in a free flowing and relaxed atmosphere. Most programs encourage preregistration and take place downstairs at the Mifflin Community Library unless otherwise noted.
