Try out these healthy apps for New Year’s celebratio­ns

Can healthy appetizers taste great? Absolutely!

Here are some super easy, healthy appetizers for your New Year’s Eve celebratio­n!

Chocolate Dipped Orange Slices

Dip half the orange slice in melted chocolate and let harden.

Cold Veggie Pizza

Bake a crescent roll crust or purchase a premade pizza crust. When room temperatur­e, top with ranch-flavored Greek yogurt spread, add shredded cheese, chopped broccoli, red peppers and green onions. Serve cold.

Peanut Butter Fruit Dip

2 (5.3 oz.) containers Vanilla Greek Yogurt (or 1 slightly heaping cup)

1/3 Cup creamy Peanut Butter

1 Tbsp. Honey, or to taste

Mix all ingredient­s in a bowl and whisk to blend until smooth. Serve with fruit, store in refrigerat­or.

Skinny Pumpkin Pie Dip

½ cup pumpkin puree ¼ of an 8-ounce tub whipped topping, thawed (light or fat-free is fine)

1 ounce cream cheese, soften (light or fat-free is fine)

2 tablespoon­s instant vanilla or pumpkin pudding mix (sugar-free is fine or substitute with confection­er’s sugar)

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice 1 teaspoon cinnamon Mix well and serve with ginger snaps, graham crackers, pretzels, apples, etc.

On A Stick

Layer different snacks on wooden sticks/skewers: cheeses, lunch meats, grapes or try layering melon and prosciutto (drizzle balsamic vinegar on top) or try layering berries and glazed donut holes or angel food cake squares.
