From Tree to Table: Maple Sugaring 101: Take a short walk through a park to participat­e and learn about the maple sugaring process. Experience maple sugaring first hand by seeing the Sugar Maple tree tapped, and taste the sap directly from the tree. Then watch the process of boiling down the sap to attain the right consistenc­y for syrup. And of course taste the final product on some pancakes, comparing real maple syrup to the store-bought variety. Pre-registrati­on is required as space is limited. Toddler Storytime: Wednesdays 10- 10:30 a.m. for ages walking to 3 years. We will enjoy stories, songs, finger plays and crafts as we sing and read together with friends. It is also held the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

Sleepytime Story Time: All ages, Wednesdays, 7 p.m. Designed for all ages. We discuss feelings, yoga is incorporat­ed to each storytime and there are opportunit­ies to earn rewards for reading books! Free. Must attend with a parent/ guardian.

Preschool Story Time: Ages 3-5Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Designed for ages 3-5years old. An hour of reading, singing, learning and a craft. Free. Must attend with a parent/ guardian. Saturday storytime: 2nd and 4th Saturdays, 10a.m. Designed for all ages. We will read books and play at centers (sensory, math, science, make believe) based on a new theme each week. Free. Garden Club: Pottstown Area Garden Club welcomes amateurs interested in all aspects of gardening. Meetings are held the first Friday of every month at St. James Lutheran Church, 1101E. High St., Pottstown at 11:30a.m. Contact 610-327-2235.

Birdsboro Rotary: Birdsboro Rotary Club meets 6:30p.m. every Thursday at the Reading Country Club, 5311Perkio­men Ave, Reading.

Pagoda Writers: The Pagoda Writers group gets together from 1 to 3p.m. the first Saturday of every month on the second floor of the Pagoda, 98Duryea Dr., Reading.

Stitching Circle: The Mifflin Community Library’s Evening Stitching Circle meets every Monday from 6:30-8p.m., and the Afternoon Stitching Circle meets every Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. New members are always welcome and should bring their own materials. There are currently between 12-15members who sew, knit and crochet. The group works on personal projects as well as service projects to benefit the community. Come join in loads of fun & stitching!

Writers group: Mifflin Writers Group continues to meet the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6:30-8p.m. Mifflin Writers Group is composed of writers of all genres and levels of experience. Their purpose is to motivate, inspire, instruct, inform, share and critique each other in their writing efforts in a free flowing and relaxed atmosphere. Most programs encourage pre-registrati­on and take place downstairs at the Mifflin Community Library unless otherwise noted.
