Reading Symphony Orchestra presents an Evening of Beethoven on March 4
READING >> Beethoven’s dramatic music provides the backdrop for an evening with the Reading Symphony Orchestra led by Maestro Andrew Constantine on Saturday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Santander Performing Arts Center.
The program celebrates the wide diversity of Beethoven’s compositions including Leonore Overture No. 1, his majestic Second Symphony, and his Triple Concerto, featuring pianist Fabio Bidini, violinist Sabrina-Vivian Höpcker, and cellist Andrew Shulman.

About the Artists
Italian pianist Fabio Bidini is one of this generation’s top-f light pianists. His appearances have included performances with The London Symphony Orchestra at The Barbican, The Philharmonia Orchestra of London at Royal Festival Hall, the San Francisco Symphony, New World Symphony, Dallas Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony, Philharmonia Orchestra Prague at the Rudolphinum, and the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra at Liszt Academy Hall. He has collaborated with conductors including Michael Tilson Thomas, Carlos Prieto, Max Valdes, Dimitry Sitkovetsky, Ivan Fisher, Jesus Lopez Cobos, JoAnn Falletta, Zoltan Kocsis, Michael Christie, and Gianandrea Noseda.
Hamburg-born Sabrina-Vivian Höpcker has appeared at major concert venues such as the Philharmonic Hall at Munich’s Gasteig, the Bavarian State Opera, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw, the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne, the Circulo de Bellas Artes and Auditorio Nacionál de Música in Madrid, Palau de la Música in Barcelona and Valencia, the Théâtre du Palais de l´Europe in Menton and the Sala Pi- atti and Sala Greppi in Bergamo. She has performed as a soloist at the Hitzacker Music Festival, the Tuscan Sun Festival in Cortona, Italy, the Braunschweiger Classix Festival, and in concert series such as DORIAN in Hamburg, “Winners and Masters” in Munich, and “Los Nuevos Solistas” in Madrid.
Andrew Shulman, principal cellist with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and faculty at the University of Southern California, was the first British winner of the Piatigorsky Award and was made an Honorary RCM by The Queen Mother. He has performed concertos with the Philharmonia, ASMF, CBSO, BBC Scottish, Utah and Singapore Symphonies, and Los Angeles and Royal Liverpool Philharmonics. Recital appearances have included Wigmore Hall, the Royal Palace, Stockholm and Buckingham Palace, London, and he has performed Strauss’s Don Quixote in London and at the Hollywood Bowl. He is a regular guest at the Aspen, Aldeburgh, Bath, Edinburgh, Mainly Mozart and La Jolla festivals.
