Breakfast with the Easter Bunny: The Easter Bunny will be visiting St. Gabriel’s Episcopal “Second Saturday Breakfast” on April 8. The delicious All -You-Can-Eat Breakfast buffet includes eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, toast, coffee/tea, and orange juice. Kids under 6 are free. Parking and entrance at rear of building. Bring your friends & neighbors!

Eggstravag­anza: Berks County Parks invites you and your family to enjoy this festive spring event from noon to 3 p.m. April 8. There will be stations for decorating eggs, pony rides, children’s activities, Reading Juggling Club, a petting zoo, crafts and much more! It is free and open to the public. It is NOT an egg hunt! There is a $2 parking donation. The event will be held at Berks County Heritage Center, 1102 Red Bridge Road , Reading, PA 19605. Eco Egg Hunt: Join Environmen­tal Educator, Jennifer Brooks, and partake in an egg hunt adventure like no other! This non-traditiona­l, non-competitiv­e egg hunt will delight children and parents alike. Children will venture into the forest to hunt for and collect different types of decorated eggs that resemble hawks, owls, and other native birds hidden amongst the trees and leaves in the beautiful forest at Angora Fruit Farms. We will learn about native nesting birds, and their eggs prior to the hunt! After children return with their eggs and match them to the correct nest, a prize will be given to all so that everyone leaves with a great big smile! Pre-registrati­on is required. Space is limited! Toddler Storytime: Wednesdays 10 - 10:30 a.m. for ages walking to 3 years. We will enjoy stories, songs, finger plays and crafts as we sing and read together with friends. WAY: at Birdsboro Nazarene Church, 3rd & Chestnut Streets in Birdsboro. The Clothing Closet is in the basement of our church and is held on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. Each family will be allowed to shop free of charge for ONE BAG PER FAMILY for needed clothing this is a large bag and you may come from ANY township or boro. Everyone from local communitie­s are welcome to benefit from this mission. DONATIONS ARE NEEDED -- Clean, stain free, smell free, current clothing (spring/summer) OTHER ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: kids items, toys, books, house hold items kitchen items, blankets, comforters, towels, rugs, small furniture, small appliances, clean rugs. Garden Club: Pottstown Area Garden Club welcomes amateurs interested in all aspects of gardening. Meetings are held the first Friday of every month at St. James Lutheran Church, 1101 E. Stitching Circle: The Mifflin Community Library’s Evening Stitching Circle meets every Monday from 6:30-8 p.m., and the Afternoon Stitching Circle meets every Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. New members are always welcome and should bring their own materials. There are currently between 12-15 members who sew, knit and crochet. The group works on personal projects as well as service projects to benefit the community. Come join in loads of fun & stitching!

Writers group: Mifflin Writers Group continues to meet the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6:30-8 p.m. Mifflin Writers Group is composed of writers of all genres and levels of experience. Their purpose is to motivate, inspire, instruct, inform, share and critique each other in their writing efforts in a free flowing and relaxed atmosphere. Most programs encourage pre-registrati­on and take place downstairs at the Mifflin Community Library unless otherwise noted.
