EXETER 3, GOV. MIFFLIN 1 » On Sept. 7, Andrew Mesquita had two goals for Exeter and Angelo Pacheco tallied a goal in the Eagles’ Berks I opener.

goal for Mifflin while Michael Petricoin had 4 saves in net. WILSON 2, DANIEL BOONE

0» The Wilson boys soccer team won their league matchup versus Daniel Boone on September 7th. Johnny Marino and Caleb Wertz each had a goal for Wilson. Evan Trani had two saves in net for Daniel Boone.

Kierstin Spatz each scored a goal for Mifflin while Kyra Hartman posted a shutout in net with 8 saves. FLEETWOOD 4, DANIEL BOONE 0 » Alexis Schoener scored two goals to lead Fleetwood. DANIEL BOONE 5, WYOMISSING 0 » The Blazers (2-11) bounced back on Sept. 9 with a one-sided win over Wyo. Jess DiGiacomo scored twice while Boone got single goals from Cassidy Carroll, Madalynne Forster and Hannah Starolis. Rachel Woomer chipped in an assist.

FLEETWOOD 39 » The Exeter boys cross country team defeated Hamburg and Fleetwood on September 5th. Jason Fisher (18:07) finished second while teammate Kevin Harding (18:10) finsihed right behind him. GOV. MIFFLIN 19, TULPEHOCKE­N 43, KUTZTOWN 50 >> Alexander Ermold helped lead Gov. Mifflin boys cross country to wins over Kutztown and Tulpehocke­n on September 5th. Ermold (17:19) finsihed first in the race. David Mansell (18:31) finished third for Gov. Mifflin while teammates Elian Brower and Mark Andrus rounded out the top five.

Girls Cross Country

GOV. MIFFLIN 15, KUTZTOWN

49, TULPEHOCKE­N 50 » Nine runners placed in the top 12 for Gov. Mifflin girl’s cross country as they were able to top Kutztown and Tulpehocke­n on September 5th. Kayla Clark (22:24) led the way while teammates Jessie Taylor (22:25) and Andrea Miller (22:25) finished right behind her. EXETER 15, HAMBURG 50, FLEETWOOD 50 >> The Exeter girls cross country team produced a clean sweep of the top five in their matchups against Hamburg and Fleetwood. Katherine Kerchner (22:36), Isabella Karstien (22:36), and Ella Ehlert (22:36) all finished in the top three for Exeter with teammates Noelle Narvaez and Marah
