Hol­i­day Bazaar: From 8- 2 p.m. at St Paul’s UMC lo­cated at 1136 Geiger­town Road Birdsboro. There will be crafts, baked goods, home­made soup and much more.

Color Run: Girl Scout Troop in our area. Troop #1797 is host­ing a first ever Com­mu­nity 5K Color Run, at Amity Com­mu­nity Park, 1946 Weaver­town Road in Dou­glassville, from 9 a.m.-noon. This troop is hop­ing to raise enough money to travel to Sa­van­nah, Ge­or­gia (The birth­place of Girl Scouts) this sum­mer.

Ven­dor Bazaar: Hosted by the Friends of the Ex­eter Com­mu­nity Li­brary from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4569 Prest­wick Dr, Reading. Event in­cludes food and raf­fles; Goodies bags to the 100 who at­tend. Diner Day: To be held from 10-1 p.m. at the Boy­er­town Mu­seum of His­toric Ve­hi­cles in the 1938 Reading Diner. The mu­seum will be serv­ing home­made pies and fresh cof­fee at 1938 prices…. that means 5 cents for cof­fee and 25 cents for pie. Reading Tu­tors: Vol­un­teers needed for Ready.Set.READ! Pro­gram; Help make a dif­fer­ence in a child’s life! Vol­un­teers are needed to tu­tor 2nd grade stu­dents who are strug­gling with reading at Lo­rane El­e­men­tary, Mt. Penn El­e­men­tary and Mono­cacy El­e­men­tary Schools. Pagoda Writ­ers: The Pagoda Writ­ers group gets to­gether from 1 to 3 p.m. the first Satur­day of ev­ery month on the sec­ond floor of the Pagoda, 98 Duryea Drive, Reading.

Stitch­ing Cir­cle: The Mif­flin Com­mu­nity Li­brary’s Evening Stitch­ing Cir­cle meets ev­ery Mon­day from 6:30-8 p.m., and the Af­ter­noon Stitch­ing Cir­cle meets ev­ery Wed­nes­day from 1-3 p.m. New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come and should bring their own ma­te­ri­als. There are currently be­tween 12-15 mem­bers who sew, knit and cro­chet. The group works on per­sonal projects as well as ser­vice projects to ben­e­fit the com­mu­nity. Come join in loads of fun & stitch­ing!

Writ­ers group: Mif­flin Writ­ers Group con­tin­ues to meet the 1st & 3rd Thurs­days of the month from 6:30-8 p.m. Mif­flin Writ­ers Group is com­posed of writ­ers of all gen­res and lev­els of ex­pe­ri­ence. Their pur­pose is to mo­ti­vate, in­spire, in­struct, in­form, share and cri­tique each other in their writ­ing ef­forts in a free flow­ing and re­laxed at­mos­phere.
