Art center announces Watercolor Painting Demonstration

What better way to spend a chilly winter afternoon than at a relaxing and enjoyable presentation on art. The Perkiomen Valley Art Center will feature a demonstration of plein air watercolor painting by artist Mick McAndrew Sunday,

Jan. 14, at 1 p.m. at Encore Experiences (Harleysville Senior Center) 312 Alumni Drive, Harleysville.

Mick is an award winning artist whose paintings capture both the mood and atmosphere of his subject through the magic of watercolor and a reverence for the principles of design. Mick is a signature member of both the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Watercolor Societies and the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association. He states, “I am a passionate painter who believes that time spent painting is precious. My goal is to draw and paint every day and I believe that the fastest way to artistic growth is through the activity of painting.”

There will be a short business meeting and light refreshments before the presentation. Come out and to enjoy this free afternoon program.

The Perkiomen Valley Art Center is a non-profit volunteer group promoting fine arts in this region. All programs and art exhibits are free and membership is open to all.
