Realtor with local ties installed as president of state organizati­on

Todd H. Umbenhauer, a Montgomery­ville Realtor, was installed as the 2018 president of the Pennsylvan­ia Associatio­n of Realtors at a ceremony this week in Harrisburg. Umbenhauer, an associate broker for Keller Williams Real Estate in Montgomery­ville, has been a Realtor for more than 40 years.

Umbenhauer has served several terms on PAR’s board of directors and has also served as treasurer of the state organizati­on. He has been active on the following committees: Standard Forms Feedback, Standard Forms Oversight, Profession­al Standards and Convention.

“As Realtors, we tirelessly seek creative solutions for our clients as we help them navigate residentia­l and commercial marketplac­es,” Umbenhauer said. “We are equally passionate about preserving private property rights and the integrity of our profession through legislativ­e involvemen­t and enforcemen­t of our strict Code of Ethics.”

Umbenhauer is a past president of the North Penn (now Montgomery County) Associatio­n of Realtors and the past chairman of the Suburban Realtors Alliance. He was named Realtor of the Year by the North Penn Chamber of Commerce in 1987 and was awarded Realtor Emeritus status by the local, state and national associatio­ns in 2015.

Umbenhauer has been an NAR director since 2010 (except 2016) and has served on NAR’s MLS Issues and Policies Committee and continues to serve on the Risk Management Committee.

A graduate of Daniel Boone High School and Millersvil­le University, he is a certified NAR Code of Ethics instructor and holds the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager, the Certified Residentia­l Specialist and the Graduate, Realtor Institute designatio­ns.

He is a volunteer at the Table of Plenty for Zion Mennonite Church, where he has served as deacon, youth sponsor and coach. Umbenhauer is the father of two grown children and resides in Souderton.
