Area churches participat­e in Birdsboro Cross Walk Good Friday

Prayers will be given at various locations for community

Area churches in Birdsboro will be participat­ing in the Birdsboro Cross Walk on Good Friday, March 30, at 3:30 p.m.

Participan­ts should park in the church parking lot at 5 Brooke Manor, Birdsboro.

The walk will take in much of the center of Birdsboro. Stops along the way will be accompanie­d by prayer.

The first stop will be at Boyers Store where we will pray for posterity and commerce.

The second stop will be at the Boone Library where we will pray for education and student safety.

The third stop is at Birdsboro Borough Hall where the group will pray for the government and local law enforcemen­t.

Stop four will be the VFW where prayers will go up for the military, veterans, and world peace.

The walk will circle back to the Union Fire Company for two special prayers for the firefighte­rs and other first responders. As the community food bank is located in the Union Fire Company we will also offer prayers for the hungry.

Proceeding to St. Paul’s UCC, for the sixth stop, Birdsboro, prayers for all churches will be given.

Participan­ts will return to St. Mark’s for soup in the Fellowship Hall.

A Good Friday Communion Service will be held at 6:30 p.m., St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 5 Brooke Manor, Birdsboro. All are welcome.
