Berks Brewery Fest slated for April 14.
Tasters invited to immerse themselves in Berks County’s beer brewing culture, both past and present
The Berks History Center and Oakbrook Brewing Company invite you to immerse yourself in Berks County’s vibrant beer brewing culture, both past and present, at Berks Brewery & Breweriana Fest on April 14 at 10 a.m. at the Berks History Center, 940 Centre Ave. Reading.
Berks Brewery & Breweriana Fest is a special spring Second Saturday program that celebrates “all things beer,” beginning with a presentation on the history of brewing in Berks County at 10 a.m. Presented by Chad Campbell, owner of Breweriana Aficianado, the program will look back on Berks County’s legendary beer brewing industry.
The presentation will be followed by a beer tasting hosted and sponsored by Oakbrook Brewing Company. Participants will also enjoy a special breweriana exhibit, which features a myriad of brewery collectables and memorabilia from Berks County breweries such as Deppen, Lauer’s, Sunshine, Old Reading, and more! The exhibit is curated by Chad Campbell and several other breweriana collectors.
Both the beer tasting and the exhibit are included in the ticket cost. Participants will also have an opportunity to explore the treasures Berks County’s extraordinary past with tours of the Berks History Center Museum. Food and other refreshments will be available for purchase during the event.
