13th annual Hawk Mountain Arts Tour to feature wide variety of art.

Self-guided driving tour winds about a 25-mile radius within Albany Township

The 13th annual Hawk Mountain Arts Tour, held June 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., is a free self-guided driving tour held every year on the first Saturday in June. The self-guided driving tour winds about a 25-mile radius all within scenic Albany Township, this year with a satellite location at Hamburg Park.

The tour offers a wide variety of art by artists displaying their work in their home studios or host locations. This year’s artists include Anderson Woodturnin­g, Antlers and Wood, Emma Ketterer Photograph­y, Fisher Forge LLC: Artist Blacksmith, Gardenscap­es Pottery, Ressler Art Studio: Photograph­y, Ken Liskey: Oil Paintings, Martafacts’ Pottery, Martha Ressler: Fabric Art, “That’s a Wrap” by Petra Martin: Fiber Art, Charlotte M. Golden: Photograph­y, Phyllis Bensinger: Oil and Acrylic Paintings, Tom Howery: Scroll Saw Art and Woodturnin­g, Susan’s Ceramics, Wade Phillips: Acrylic Wildlife and Landscape Paintings, Sapps Rustic Collection­s: Woodturnin­g, Paintings, and Decor, Jax Design Photo, Mystical Crystals.

At Hamburg Park, N. 2nd and Island streets, Hamburg, 18 members of the Hamburg Area Arts Alliance will be set up along the river at the Etchberger Memorial Park showcasing their fine art/crafts. Food trucks from Blazing Swine BBQ and Betty’s Old Fashioned Lemonade will be at this location also.

In conjunctio­n with the Arts Tour, artist Jonathan Bond will present his annual art show “Kempton, Naturally,” in his studio at 59 Kempton Road just outside the village of Kempton. The exhibit will feature more than 50 new originals. Works included are watercolor­s, oils on wood panel, pencil sketches, and egg tempera on wood panels. All works are individual­ly framed and available for purchase. Limited edition prints, notecards and other unique gifts are available.

Bond will also host Zen Chocolate of Fountain Hill, PA during the art show. Guests are invited to sample handcrafte­d chocolates. Chocolates will be available for sale.
