Self-guided driv­ing tour winds about a 25-mile ra­dius within Al­bany Town­ship

The 13th an­nual Hawk Moun­tain Arts Tour, held June 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., is a free self-guided driv­ing tour held ev­ery year on the first Satur­day in June. The self-guided driv­ing tour winds about a 25-mile ra­dius all within scenic Al­bany Town­ship, this year with a satel­lite lo­ca­tion at Ham­burg Park.

The tour of­fers a wide va­ri­ety of art by artists dis­play­ing their work in their home stu­dios or host lo­ca­tions. This year’s artists in­clude An­der­son Wood­turn­ing, Antlers and Wood, Emma Ket­terer Pho­tog­ra­phy, Fisher Forge LLC: Artist Black­smith, Gar­den­scapes Pot­tery, Ressler Art Stu­dio: Pho­tog­ra­phy, Ken Liskey: Oil Paint­ings, Martafacts’ Pot­tery, Martha Ressler: Fab­ric Art, “That’s a Wrap” by Pe­tra Martin: Fiber Art, Char­lotte M. Golden: Pho­tog­ra­phy, Phyl­lis Bensinger: Oil and Acrylic Paint­ings, Tom How­ery: Scroll Saw Art and Wood­turn­ing, Su­san’s Ce­ram­ics, Wade Phillips: Acrylic Wildlife and Land­scape Paint­ings, Sapps Rus­tic Col­lec­tions: Wood­turn­ing, Paint­ings, and Decor, Jax De­sign Photo, Mys­ti­cal Crys­tals.

At Ham­burg Park, N. 2nd and Is­land streets, Ham­burg, 18 mem­bers of the Ham­burg Area Arts Al­liance will be set up along the river at the Etch­berger Memo­rial Park show­cas­ing their fine art/crafts. Food trucks from Blaz­ing Swine BBQ and Betty’s Old Fash­ioned Lemon­ade will be at this lo­ca­tion also.

In con­junc­tion with the Arts Tour, artist Jonathan Bond will present his an­nual art show “Kemp­ton, Nat­u­rally,” in his stu­dio at 59 Kemp­ton Road just out­side the vil­lage of Kemp­ton. The ex­hibit will fea­ture more than 50 new orig­i­nals. Works in­cluded are water­col­ors, oils on wood panel, pen­cil sketches, and egg tem­pera on wood pan­els. All works are in­di­vid­u­ally framed and avail­able for pur­chase. Lim­ited edi­tion prints, note­cards and other unique gifts are avail­able.

Bond will also host Zen Choco­late of Foun­tain Hill, PA dur­ing the art show. Guests are in­vited to sam­ple hand­crafted choco­lates. Choco­lates will be avail­able for sale.

Chain saw wood carv­ing artist Todd Glad­fel­ter of New Rin­gold will display his art dur­ing the Hawk Moun­tain Arts Tour at Hawk Moun­tain Vis­i­tor Cen­ter, 1700 Hawk Moun­tain Road, Kemp­ton, on June 2.
