Suspects arrested on drug charges
Berks County Detectives arrested more than a dozen suspects in an early-morning drug roundup with more still being sought.
On Thursday, July 26, members of the Berks County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and Reading Police Department conducted a roundup of 22 drug suspects from across Berks County.
The suspects were wanted for various violations of the Pennsylvania Controlled Substance Act, specifically delivery of controlled substances, which included heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and synthetic marijuana.
This investigation began with separate complaints from confidential sources and concerned citizens regarding drug activity in their neighborhoods. During the investigation, under-
cover detectives purchased amounts of controlled substances with street values ranging from $25 to $2,100 dollars from the suspects, according to police.
Subsequently, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the suspects. The warrants were issued by district judges throughout Berks County.
The following individuals were arrested or turned themselves in following the operation:
• Ditzon Hernandez, 26, of 1259 N. 10th St., Reading, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of marijuana (2 counts each). Location: 900 block Perry Street, Reading, Pa.
• Edwin Santos Feliciano, 55, of 237 Moss St., Reading, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of heroin (3 counts each). Location: 400 block Penn Street/416 Blair Ave./228 Penn St., Reading, Pa.
• Ashley Keller, 30, of 1743 Frush Valley Road, Temple, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of methamphetamine (2 counts each). Location: 3400 Montrose Avenue, Laureldale & 1703 Frush Valley Road, Temple, Pa.
• Edward Kline, 29, of 1743 Frush Valley Road, Temple, for conspiracy to commit possession, possession with intent, delivery of methamphetamine (1 count each). Location: 1703 Frush Valley Road, Temple, Pa.
• Ryan Lorah, 37, currently in BCP, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of methamphetamine (1 count each). Location: 835 Hiesters Lane, Reading, Pa.
• Robert McMullen, 26, 114 Mulberry St., Reading, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of crack cocaine (1 count each). Location: 100 block North 10th Street, Reading, Pa.
• Brenda Lopez-Morales, 41, of 149 N. 8th St., Reading, for possession possession with intent, delivery of heroin (1 count each). Location: 100 block North 8th Street, Reading, Pa.
• Fernando Rivera-Lopez, Jr., 22, of 125 W. Buttonwood St., Reading, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of heroin (1 count each). Location: 400 block Division Street, Reading, Pa.
• Oscar D. Douglas, 31, of 1546 N. 9th St., Reading, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of cocaine (1 count each). Location: 1546 N. 9th St., Reading, Pa.
• Jonathan Trostle, 30, of 1 Russell Lane, Shillington, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of marijuana (1 count each). Location: 1500 block Frush Valley Road, Temple, Pa.
• Garry Hall Roache, 37, 110 Douglass St. , Apt 2, Reading, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of crack cocaine (5 counts each). Location: 800 block Ritter Street, Reading, P.
• Dimitri Antonio Ortega, 25, of 1516 Mulberry St. or 1336 Cotton St., Reading, for possession, possesion with intent, delivery of crack cocaine (1 count each). Location: 1300 block Cotton Street, Reading, Pa.
• Cody Kochel, 23, 114 N. Centre Ave., Leesport, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of marijuana (1 count each). Location: 114 N. Centre Ave., Leesport, Pa.
• Jose A. CabreraMendez, 33, 844 Locust St., Reading, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of heroin (2 counts each). Location: 800 block Locust Street, Reading, Pa.
• Stephen C. Lessley, 23, of 540 Briar Circle, Kutztown, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of marijuana (2 counts each). Location: 540 Briar Circle, Kutztown, Pa.
• Jose Pena-Brito, 51, of 302 Hollenbach St., Reading, for possession, possession with intent, delivery of heroin (3 counts each). Location: 800 block McKnight Street/733 McKnight St./302 Hollenbach St., Reading, Pa.
• Walberto Mercado-Luciano, 36, Reading, charged with Possession/PWI of Cocaine & Marijuana (1 count each). Location: 958 Scott Street, Reading. Location: 958 Scott St., Reading, Pa.
