Berks Agricultural Resource Network announces Excellence in Agriculture Awards.

The Berks Agricultural Resource Network, BARN, is now seeking nominations for several award categories meant to acknowledge and encourage excellence in agriculture-related areas.

• 2018 Bountiful Berks Award will recognize individuals or groups, or a project, that have distinguished themselves by achieving and/or promoting best practices in agriculture or related businesses.

• 2018 Agriculture Journalism Award will recognize three examples of exemplary articles, blog posts, podcasts or television spots about agriculture published between October 2017 and September 2018.

• 2018 Agriculture Communications Award will recognize three examples of exemplary newsletters, social media posts, etc., about agriculture published between October 2017 and September 2018.

• 2018 Tressie S. Caton Women in Agriculture Award, which is named after Caton, a tireless and vibrant member of Pennsylvania’s Agri-Women organization, will recognize excellence in agriculturerelated fields like, science, economics, farming, veterinary work, philanthropy and more. Entries must include a 250-word typed, personal statement or testament.

All applicants must live in Berks County.
