Bus accident in Exeter injures two

Two people suffered minor injuries after a van collided with a school bus Wednesday morning.

According to Exeter Township School District, a bus carrying students from Jacksonwal­d Elementary School was struck by a van Wednesday morning on West 38th Street and Moyer Avenue.

The school district said in a tweet that the “driver and one student had minor injuries and are OK. All students made it school OK and counselors on hand to talk with the students.”

The driver and student were transporte­d to the hospital for evaluation of minor injuries.

According to reports, the school bus had been traveling on 38th Street while a white van was traveling on Moyer Avenue. The van allegedly did not stop at a stop sign and hit the bus.

Students were later placed on a second bus and taken to school.
