Doors open 6:pm; meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Hallie Vaughan speaks on “Hello Girls,” women recruited as communicators for military in Europe during World War I. Admission free to members; donation requested from non-members. Light refreshments served before meeting.

Nov. 17 Hurricane Relief Fundraiser Pancake Breakfast: 7 to 10:30 a.m., Bally Mennonite Church, Route 100 in Bally in Fellowship Hall. Pancakes, French toast, eggs, sausage, scrapple, OJ, tea, & coffee. Donations of all amounts appreciated. Proceeds will provide funds for long term relief efforts of the Mennonite Disaster Service. Holiday Bazaar: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Friedens UCC, 337 Main St., Oley. Pies, cakes, cookies, soups, and potato filling will be sold and may be pre-ordered before Nov. 14 at 610-987-6020 or 610-987-3536. Lunch can be purchased for eat-in or take-out. Raffles for crafts, theme baskets, and a handmade quilt, plus a huge White Elephant sale and vendors with plants, art and numerous gift and handcrafted items.

Friends of the Boyertown Community Library Book Sale and Donation Acceptance: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your gently used book donations or shop for books for all ages. Books are available at very low prices for the whole family. If you are bringing donations and need a receipt, please have a count of hard backs and soft covers ready.
