HealthSouth to unveil new name, brand
HealthSouth Reading Rehabilitation Hospital will unveil its new name and brand as part of its company’s name change and rebranding initiative.
Beginning Jan. 1, the inpatient rehabilitation hospital will be known as Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Reading. It will continue to provide the same high-quality, post-acute care for patients overcoming a variety of major illnesses and injuries.
To commemorate the new name and brand, the hospital will be hosting a community celebration on Wednesday, Jan. 9, from 3 to 7 p.m.
The event will take place in the hospital café, located at 1623 Morgantown Road, Reading.
The event will feature an open Q&A forum, technology tours and comments from Dr. Suzanne Adam, the hospital’s medical director. Appetizers and light dinner will be provided to guests. The hospital asks that guests RSVP to Tiffany Cipolla at 610 796-6365 or at tiffany.cipolla@healthsouth.com.

Birmingham, Alabamabased HealthSouth Corporation launched its new name and brand on Jan. 1, 2018 and will be transitioning its 130 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and 273 home health and hospice locations serving 36 states and Puerto Rico through 2019. All of the company’s post-acute care service locations in Pennsylvania will migrate to the Encompass Health name and brand on Jan. 1.
