EXETER 63, EPHRATA 46 >> Anthony Wise scored nine of his game-high 19 points in the first quarter to lead the Eagles over the Mounts on the first night of the Exeter tournament on Dec. 7

32 >> On Dec. 8, Wesley Murray hit three of his four 3’s in a plus-10 second quarter for the Eagles (2-0) in the championsh­ip win over the Scouts (1-1).

Tournament MVP Anthony Wise had a gamehigh 14 points for Exeter. Shakim Davis led Conrad Weiser with 10.

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 63, DANIEL

BOONE 39 >> At Birdsboro Dec. 8, Zach Krause scored 24 points, Tyler Strechay chipped in 20 and the Vikings (1-1) defeated the Blazers (0-1).

Chaunce Johnson scored 16 points to lead Boone.

GOV. MIFFLIN 52, CEDAR CLIFF 32 >> At Camp Hill Dec. 8, the Mustangs came back from a 12-point deficit to start the game, which put them up 25-24 at the half.

The Mustangs outscored the Colts 16-4 in the third quarter to secure the win. Bryce Black led the Mustangs with 23 points, eight of them coming in the fourth quarter. Josh Klahr also finished in double figures with 10 points for GM.

Girls basketball

DANIEL BOONE 45, YORK

COUNTRY DAY 20 >> At Lititz Dec. 7, the Blazers showcased a dominant offense against the Greyhounds.

The offense was flowing through Courtney Gabbett, who led Boone’s scoring with 17 points. Gabbett ended the offensive run with six points in the fourth quarter. Skyler Emory had another 14 points for the Blazers.

DANIEL BOONE 27, COVENANT CHRISTIAN 23 >> At Lititz Dec. 8, the Blazers (2-0) captured the Lititz Christian School Tournament Championsh­ip, prevailing in a low scoring game with the falcons (1-1).

Skyler Emory led Daniel Boone with 13 points, and Courtney Gabbett added five.

EXETER 39, LEBANON 33 >> At Reiffton Dec. 7, Kelly Fetter scored 13 points as the Eagles had strong first and

fourth quarters to beat the Cedars in their tip-off tournament.

Exeter outscored Lebanon by six in the first and closed out the game with a three-point advantage in the fourth.

HERSHEY 43, EXETER 22 >> At Reiffton Dec. 8, the Spartans overpowere­d the Eagles with a 22-7 halftime lead. That lead would continue to grow in the second half as the Eagles had no answer for the Spartans’ offense. Spartans’ Kate Sinz led the team with 14 points. Kelly Fetter led the Eagles in scoring with 10 points.

GOV. MIFFLIN 71, CONRAD WEISER 27 >> Ta’Shonna Wright-Gaskins scored 17 points as the Mustangs cruised past the Scouts on Day 1 of the Cocalico Tournament.

Destiny White had 14 points and Stella Mollica added 10 for Mifflin. Derra Townes led Conrad Weiser with 18.

GOV. MIFFLIN 43, COCALICO 24 >> At Cocalico Dec. 8, Destiny White scored 16 points and the Mustangs (2-0) used a solid defensive effort to cruise to the win over the Eagles (1-1).

Ta’Shonna Wright-Gaskins scored five points and was named tournament MVP. Stella Mollica (six points) was also named to the All-Tournament team.

Wrestling

WILLIAMSPO­RT TOURNAMENT >> Daniel Boone placed fourth among the 20 teams participat­ing in the Tom Best Memorial Top Hat competitio­n this past weekend.

Chase Stehman reached the semifinal round at 120, scoring a 6-3 decision on Hazleton Area’s Beck Hutchison.

BOYERTOWN DUALS >> At Boyertown Dec. 8, Gov. Mifflin went 2-3 and placed sixth among the 10 schools participat­ing in the Brian Bealer Memorial Bear Duals. GM topped Harry S Truman (40-32) and Interboro (56-19) after a firstround loss to Bethlehem Liberty (72-3) and the host Bears (56-15) in pool play, then lost to Council Rock North (43-32) in the fifthplace match.

Jordan Espinosa won four bouts at 285, and John Arentz three at 160. Joseph Irizarry had another three victories at 120.
