11th annual Coventry Mall Race Car Show coming March 8-10

- By Ernie Saxton

The 11th Annual Coventry Mall Race Car Show will take place Friday, March 8th through Sunday, March 10th at the mall located in Pottstown. This is a free show. There is no charge for drivers to display their race cars and no charge for attendees to view the race cars. The show runs during mall hours (10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday). The race cars will enter the mall after mall closing at 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 7th and come out of the mall Sunday, March 10th, after mall closing at 6 p.m.

Every year the show is organized by Scott Hoffmaster to promote local dirt track racing and to give drivers an opportunity to showcase and promote their sponsors before the start of the race season. It gives fans a chance to come out and see the new designs and colors of their favorite race cars up close before they hit the dirt tracks.

For the 4th year in a row, Wicked Effects Car Club graciously returns and allows the use of their club insurance to cover insurance costs for the show. The Wicked Effects Car Club raises money through their car shows for charities including children with cancer and special needs. Without Wicked Effects support, the show wouldn’t be able to take place.

Fans look forward to the 2019 Coventry Mall Race Car Show and the start of the new season.
