Douglassville man accused of sexually assaulting girl
A 36-year-old Douglassville man was arrested Feb. 25 and charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting a girl over seven years, beginning when she was 11.
Sebastian D. Santibanez of the 4900 block of Pheasant Run was taken into custody about 9 p.m. at his place of business in Limerick, Montgomery County.
He was committed to Berks County Prison in lieu of $1 million bail following Wednesday on charges of statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, three counts of possessing and disseminating child pornography, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors, criminal use of a communication facility, indecent exposure and indecent assault.
According to the Berks County District Attorney’s Office:
Authorities were alerted to the case through a referral from ChildLine and a report from Amity Township police of a complaint filed by the victim who is now 18 years old.
She said Santibanez, who was known to her family, had sexually abused her. She said the abuse started when she was 11, and continued from July 2012 until October 2019.
She said the assaults occurred at various places, including Santibanez’s home and vehicles; his place of business; and hotel rooms in Valley Forge and Orlando, Fla.
During the investigation, authorities recovered sexually explicit digital images and videos that corroborated information provided by the victim.
