Former Boat-N-RV in Tilden Township now called Gander RV & Outdoors

The Boat-N-RV Superstore in Tilden Township has a new name.

Camping World Holdings Inc. has acquired the recreational vehicle dealership at 20 Industrial Drive, near the intersection of Interstate 78 and Route 61, and will change the location’s name to Gander RV & Outdoors. The Lincolnshire, Ill.based company announced

Wednesday morning that it has acquired two Boat-N-RV locations to expand the company’s footprint in the Northeast. The other location is near Albany, N.Y.

“This transaction is a great step for our company as we continue to rapidly expand our footprint and product offerings across the country,” said Marcus Lemonis, CEO and chairman of Camping World Holdings, in a statement. “We are committed to two things: locations in all 48 contiguous states and accelerating our goal of increasing market share.”

Gander RV & Outdoors, is the second largest RV and outdoor dealer network behind Camping World. The company said extensive expansions have occurred at both locations and the new offering includes a wide range of new and used RVs from top manufacturers in addition to a full assortment of RV and outdoor products and accessories.

Camping World Holdings currently owns and operates more than 170 locations nationwide, specializing in RV sales and service, RV parts and accessories, outdoor lifestyle products and its entire portfolio of Good Sam products and services. With this addition, the company now has four in Pennsylvania, including a Camping World store near Harrisburg.

This is the second owner for the Tilden location in less than a year. Boat-N-RV sold it to Jacksonville, Fla.-based Campers Inn RV last March.
