April 3: We welcome our interim pastor, Pastor Susan Folks, as she leads us in worship as we observe the fourth Sunday in Lent at our 9:30 a.m. worship. Communion will be celebrated. The lector for the day is Ron Ball. The gospel lesson is John 12:1-8, where Mary anoints Jesus for his burial.

Midweek Lenten services:

Wednesdays at 7p.m., preceded by soup suppers at 6p.m. in Memorial Hall.

April 3: Pastor Barbara Pence will conduct 8a.m. Holy Communion and Dennis Faust will conduct the 10:15 a.m. Holy Communion services in the church. All are welcome. We require all church service attendees to wear a mask and practice social distancing of at least 6 feet if not vaccinated. Masks are optional for those who are vaccinated. We will sing the hymns with masks on. Please do not attend services if you feel sick.

Weekly services are also offered online via the St. Luke’s Obelisk YouTube Channel. It is our hope and prayer that everyone stays safe and well during these difficult times.

April 3: worship on this Fifth Sunday in Lent at the worship service at 9a.m. Rev. Matthew Finney will lead the congregati­on in a Holy Communion worship service and present the sermon. Food Drive: collection of non-perishable items for the Boyertown Area Food Pantry during Lent.

Roast Beef Event: April 2, take out only, pick up 1 to 5 p.m. Roast beef, au jus, potato filling, and pepper cabbage and a roll a suitable size to make a sandwich. Dessert included will be cookies. The price per dinner will be $10. Tickets will be sold at the Church Office on a first come, first served basis, Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. No ticket reservatio­ns will be taken.

WAWA Hoagie Coupons: Available 1st Sunday of the month at the Scrip Table and in the church office Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets $4. Project benefits the Social Ministry.

Scout Troop 511 Hoagies: Sales will be the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Place orders on the 2nd Tuesday. $5.50 each for ham, turkey, Italian or cheese with lettuce, onion, tomato, sides hot peppers or sweet peppers, Italian or mayo packets. To volunteer and to order as a new person, see Kitty Isett. Pick up will be at the old store every month.

PJ Project: donate gently used or new pajamas or sweatpants for children and adults. Place in the box in the Narthex.

In Ian’s Boots: donate used sporting equipment for needy children and youth developmen­t programs both here and around the world.

Puzzles: borrow puzzles in the cabinet labeled “Puzzles” in the Parish Hall.
