Sunday: Our interim pastor, Pastor Susan Folks, will lead us in worship as we celebrate Pentecost. Communion will be celebrated. Joe Vendetti is lector. The gospel lesson for the day is John 14: 8-17 (2527) 15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. We are thrilled to welcome Pastor C. David Godshall to worship. Pastor Godshall was St. Luke’s first full-time pastor, serving from 1959-1965.
Brunch Potluck: Following worship Sunday, we will meet in Memorial Hall for a potluck. This is part of our 100th anniversary celebration. Those bringing items for the potluck are encouraged to bring items made with recipes from one of the two cookbooks St. Luke has published during it’s 100 year history.

June 5: Pastor Barbara Pence will conduct 8a.m. Holy Communion service in the church and Dennis Faust will conduct the 10:15a.m. Holy Communion service in the church. All are welcome. Masks are optional for those who are vaccinated, although they are strongly recommended. We require all church service attendees to wear a mask and practice social distancing of at least 6feet if not vaccinated. Please do not attend services if you feel sick. Weekly services are also offered online via the St. Luke’s Obelisk YouTube Channel. It is our hope and prayer that everyone stays safe and well during these difficult times.

June 5: Rev. Matthew Finney will lead worship and present the sermon on this Pentecost Sunday with a Holy Communion worship service at 9 a.m. During the service, the Confirmands Chase Bartman, Hunter Francisco, and Julissa Sandoval will affirm their faith in the Rite of Confirmation.
We’d like to thank the Confirmands leaders during this two year class, Denise Hoffman and Gerry Flicker, as well as the Confirmands mentors. At the 9a.m. service worship helpers will be Callie Bartman — acolyte; Luke Moser — lector; Heather Moser — Assisting Minister and our Greeter/ Usher is Nancy Fioriglio. Altar Guild this morning will be Chershe Derr and Shirley Deery and Counting Team is “A”. Prior to the worship service, Coffee & Conversation will be held at 8:30 in the Welcome Center and then again after worship at 10:15 a.m.
June 6: Property Committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the Welcome Center.
June 7: at 6:30 p.m., both the Worship & Music committee and the Mercy Ministry committee will meet in the Welcome Center

God’s Wonder Lab Vacation Bible School: July 25 to 29 for ages 4 years to Grade 5. Children will look into the Bible and discover that Jesus does the impossible, giving us eternal life with Him! Jesus shows that He is God with amazing miracles. And He shows us that He loves us by using His power to do marvelous things on our behalf. We’ll have five fun nights of stories, music, crafts, and more.

WAWA Hoagie Coupons: Available 1st Sunday of the month at the Scrip Table and in the church office Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $4. This project benefits the Social Ministry.
PJ Project: donate gently used or new pajamas or sweatpants for children and adults all sizes male and female. Place in box in the Narthex.
In Ian’s Boots: donate used sporting equipment for needy children and youth development programs both here and around the world.
