March 26: Connie Hukari, Congregation Council President, will deliver the message on the fifth Sunday of Lent at our 9:30a.m. service. Pat Hallman is lector. The gospel lesson for the day is John 11: 1-45, where we remember the baptismal image of the raising of Lazarus.

Midweek Lenten services: each Wednesday in Lent, beginning at 7 p.m. We will worship with Holden Evening Prayer, with a short lesson on the psalms by Ken Jacob. Ken Jacob and Kathy Billger are serving as cantors for the midweek services.

Community Clothing Rack: open for shoppers March 22from 1to 4 p.m. It will not be open March 29, as that is the fifth Wednesday of the month. Masks and physical distancing are required. Enter through far door — sanitize hands. Four clients will enter with a 20minute shopping time limit.

March 26: Pastor Amy Smith will lead the 80a.m. Holy Communion service and 10:15 a.m. Worship Service. Masks are optional for those who are vaccinated, although they are recommended. We ask that all church service attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing of at least 6feet if not vaccinated. Please do not attend services if you feel sick. March 29: A soup supper and Lenten service with Peace in Zion U.C.C. will be held at 6p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

March 26: Rev. Matthew Finney, who will also be presenting the sermon, will lead the 9a.m. worship service on the Fifth Sunday in Lent. Coffee & Conversation will be held at 8:30and 10a.m. in the Welcome Center. The Adult Sunday School class will be held at 10a.m. in the parlor. Confirmation Class will meet in room I at 10a.m. Assistants for the morning worship are Acolyte — open; Lector — open; Assisting Minister — Terry Flicker; and Greeters/ Ushers — Gerry Flicker. Altar Guild is Chershe Derr and the Counting team is Team A for the month of March. Pastor Matt Finney’s office hours will be Friday, March 31from 10a.m. to 1p.m. The Endowment Requests are due to the Endowment committee by March 31.

March 28: 7p.m. Church Council monthly meeting in the Welcome Center.

March 29: join members of St. Paul’s Lutheran at St. Paul’s, Sassamansville for the mid-week Lent service at 6p.m. for a soup supper (sign-up, please) and 7p.m. service. The Senior Choir will rehearse at 7:45 p.m.

March 30: Handbell Choir will rehearse at 7p.m.

TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1749 S. MAIN ST., BECHTELSVILLE

March 26: 9:15a.m. Sunday School, 10:30a.m. Worship Service on the 5th Sunday in Lent. Services are also livestreamed via Facebook. The church is collecting non-perishable items for the Boyertown Area Food Pantry during Lent. A box is placed in the Narthex for your donations. Free Will Offerings will be received the 3rd Sunday of every month for various organizations. The next offering April 16is for Boyertown Area Multi-Service. Easter Flowers: envelopes available in the Narthex. List your name and include all required information. $9for Lilies, Hyacinths, Tulips, and

Daffodils. Place envelopes in offering plate or send to church office. Deadline is March 26.

Homemade Easter Candy: $14 per pound, $7per half pound (Milk & Dark Chocolate) for Peanut Butter, Coconut Cream and Butter Cream. Last day for orders is March 26. Pick up is March 26to April 2.

Roast Beef Event: April 29, Take Out Only, pick up 11a.m. to 4p.m. The menu consists of roast beef, au jus, potato filling, and pepper cabbage and a dinner roll. The dessert included will be cookies. The price per dinner will be $14. Tickets will be available soon and will be sold at the Church Office on a first come, first served basis, Monday to Thursday, 10a.m. to 1p.m. No ticket reservations will be taken.

Sight and Sound Theater Bus Trip “Moses”: Aug. 19, Departs Trinity 10:45a.m., Lunch Buffet at Bird in Hand Restaurant 12p.m., Show 3p.m. in Balcony Section 302, Return to Trinity 7p.m. Cost $165includes transportation, show ticket and buffet lunch (children 12 and under $133.) Payment is due by June 25.

WAWA Hoagie Coupons: Available 1st Sunday of the month at the Scrip Table and in the church office Monday to Thursday, 9a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $4. This project benefits the Social Ministry.

Scout Troop 511 Hoagies: sales on 3rd Tuesday of the month. Place orders on 2nd Tuesday. The price is $6each for ham, turkey, Italian or cheese with lettuce, onion, tomato, sides hot peppers or sweet peppers, Italian or mayo packets. Pick up will be at the old store every month.

In Ian’s Boots: donate used sporting equipment (used cleats, balls, pads, guards, gently used shoes and boots) for needy children and youth development programs both here and around the world.
