Frederick Living hosts Steady Freddie 5K and Sticky Bun Fun Run
Runners will receive sticky buns at finish line

ZIEGLERVILLE >> Lace up your sneakers and get ready to dash through the scenic landscapes of Frederick Living in the heart of Zieglerville.
An annual event, the first Steady Freddie 5K and Sticky Bun Fun Run/ Walk is set to take place on June 1.
Hosted by Frederick Living, the family-friendly event — open to seasoned runners to casual walkers — aims to promote health and wellness while raising funds for Frederick Living’s benevolent care fund.
The festivities kick off at 8:30 a.m. in the Bistro parking lot. The run is held at Frederick Living at 2849 Big Road.
The Sticky Bun Fun Run/ Walk adds a twist to the event. Once you’ve finished the course, participants will have the opportunity to indulge in sticky buns, freshly baked in the on-campus bakery. It’s a chance to refuel and treat yourself while supporting a worthy cause.
“We’re thrilled to welcome participants to the Steady Freddie race for a morning of fun, fitness, and community spirit,” race director Betsy Natter said in the release. “This event is not only about crossing the finish line but also about coming together to support the health and well-being of our community.”
In addition to the races, participants can look forward to a post-race celebration at the finish line, complete with music, refreshments, and awards for top finishers in various categories. Keeping with the theme, the top two overall winners will receive a dozen sticky buns as part of their prize.
Online registration for the Steady Freddie 5K and Sticky Bun Fun Run/Walk is open at PretzelCitySports. com. Early registration is encouraged to secure a spot and take advantage of discounted rates. All proceeds from the event will benefit Frederick Living’s benevolent care fund and its efforts to provide care to residents who, through no fault of their own, depleted resources.
