Mrs. Brenda Kelley Wright Weaver, age 70, of Aragon, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016 in a Cedartown nursing center following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Aragon on July 8, 1945 a daughter of the late Lenoard C. Kelley and Jessie Mae Deems Kelley.

Mrs. Weaver had lived all of her life in Polk County and was a 1963 graduate of Rockmart High School.

She was a member of the Euharlee Baptist Church and was a retired employee of J.L. Lester and Son Wholesale Grocers.

Mrs. Weaver loved to sing, go to yard sales, eat ice cream and spend time with her grandchild­ren. She also loved to take trips to the mountains, attend auctions and watch “The Price Is Right.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Doyal Preston Wright on July 24, 1972; her husband Billy Eugene Weaver on Nov. 4, 2011 and by a brother, Kenneth Kelley on April 9, 2016.

Survivors include a daughter, Kerri Ellis and husband Mark of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; a son, Darren Wright and wife Becky of Taylorsvil­le; a sister, Shirley Couzzort, Cedartown; eight grandchild­ren and six great grandchild­ren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Euharlee Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Tucker and Rev. Josh Cowart officiatin­g.

Interment followed in the Aragon Cemetery with Rev. Billy Chambers officiatin­g. Pallbearer­s included: Jesse Wright, Andrew Earwood, Tim Lewis, Scott Lewis, Brian Lewis and Dale Taylor.

The Deacons of Euharlee Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearer­s.

The Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangemen­ts.
