Mrs. Shirley Jennings McDonald, age 75 of Covington, passed away Tuesday morning, May 31, 2016.

Mrs. McDonald was born Sept. 23, 1940 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Frank Jennings and the late Alta Graham Jennings. She was a homemaker and loved to shop. Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. McDonald on March 28, 1999; and two brothers, J. L. Jennings and Jimmy Jennings.

Survivors included three daughters and sonsin-law, Teresa and Michael Skinner of Covington, Cheryl and Tom Murphy of Oakwood and Kim and Joe Bishop of Royston; brother, Donald Jennings of Rome; seven grandchild­ren, three great-grandchild­ren and one great-great-grandson also survived.

Funeral graveside and interment services for Mrs. McDonald were held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the family lot of the Aragon Cemetery with a eulogy given by her granddaugh­ter, Miss Christina Bishop.

Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral graveside service for Mrs. Shirley Jennings McDonald. ed his life to be celebrated as he is now at home with his Lord.

Mr. Richards always took life one day at a time and looked forward to going home. He will be dearly missed but one day we will be joined together for forever reunion.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Richards.

Mr. Richards is survived by his wife, Hattie Richards, daughter, Karlee; three sisters, Gayle Denney of Carrollton, Maxine and Keith Thompson of Bremen, and Laura and Eddie Stroup of Cedartown; as well as so many children he called his own.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 4 p.m. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Minister Malcomb Peppers officiatin­g.

Music was rendered by God’s Grace and Jessica Mark. Interment followed in Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister Charles Benefield officiatin­g at the graveside.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearer­s: James Kidd, Kevin McGowan, Gary Mark, Shaun Lankford, Adam Thompson, Russell Stroup and Timmy Kidd.
