Mrs. Joan East Farmer, age 73 of Douglasvil­le, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.

She was born on March 28, 1943 in Polk County, the daughter of the late Richard and Fannie Miller East.

Mrs. Farmer was a long time employee of Arrow Shirt Company.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Farmer; sons and daughter-in-laws, Scot and Beth Baldwin and Todd and Pam Baldwin; sister, Janice Beck (Fred); brothers, David East (Mary) and Curtis East; grandchild­ren, Scot Baldwin, Jr. (Aimee), Melea Baldwin, Brandy Zeigler and Jarrett Baldwin and great-grandchild­ren, Christophe­r Baldwin, Jr., Audrey Sewell, Austin Baldwin, Christian Baldwin, Ethan Jones, Savannah Baldwin and Kaley Zeigler.

Mrs. Farmer is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Diane East Cole; brothers, Howard East and Wilburn East and grandson, Christophe­r Baldwin, Sr.

The funeral arrangemen­ts for Mrs. Joan East Farmer were on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Agan officiatin­g.

Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens.

The family of Mrs. Farmer received family and friends on the evening of Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearer­s: Scot Baldwin Jr., Jarrett Baldwin, Christophe­r Baldwin Jr., Christian Baldwin, Clint East, Brad East, Chad Cole, Brandon East, Christoph Runyon and Greg Beck.
