Victoria Barrett and Nytie Govern were chosen for the STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math program. Zoey Myrick and Johnny Govern were selected for the Financial Freedom Fighters program.

The goal of the 4-H Ambassador Program is to prepare 4-H’ers to become knowledgeable in a specific content area so that they can return to their counties and share what they’ve learned with others. The 4-H Ambassador Program requires a one-year commitment, which begins at State 4-H Council. After returning home, 4-H Ambassadors are expected to participate in and report on learning and sharing activities they plan and deliver in their communities in the coming year.

The Ambassador Training program provides an opportunity for youth to hold a leadership role in the 4-H program equipping them with knowledge and facilitation skills in a focused content area.

They will use the skills and knowledge learned to teach others. This can help youth to develop stronger project clubs, portfolios, Leadership in Action projects and more.

This year’s State 4-H Council featured activities that included workshops in team building and leadership, Iron Clover Competition, the 4-H Citizenship Ceremony, Master 4H Day and the election of the new Georgia 4-H Board of Directors, a performance from Clover’s and company.

During the competition, each district of the Georgia 4-H Club - Northeast, Southeast, Northwest, and Southwest - compete against one another in fun competitions ranging from softball, volleyball, basketball, rope pull, swim relay, musical chairs watermelon eating contest, trivia and the highly anticipated Cotton Eye Joe Dance Marathon and more.
