Mrs. Stone

Mrs. Salley Elane Stone, age 92, of Rockmart passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2016 in a Cedartown nursing center.

She was born in Graceville, Fla., on Oct. 24, 1923 and had been a resident of Rockmart since 1963.

Mrs. Stone was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved to sew and worked as a sitter for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Paul Stone on Sept. 15, 1990.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Colt Deems officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. A visitation was held Wednesday morning prior to the funeral hour at the funeral home.

The Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Salley Elane Stone.

Funeral services for Mr. James Elbert Timms will be conducted on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Felton Baptist Church with Rev. John Redding and Rev. Joe Shoemaker officiating.

Mr. Timms will lie in state at the Church from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Center of Felton Cemetery.

The family received friends at the residencein Cedartown on Tuesday, August 2nd and on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Michael Timms, Kenneth Reeves, Jr., Jonathan Timms, Brandon Vines, Justin Norton and Dustin Timms.
