Mr. Turner

Mr. Phillip Mallory Turner, age 71 of Douglasville formerly of Rockmart passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2016.

Mr. Turner was born Sept. 13, 1944 in Rockmart, son of the late Rhual Turner and the late Gladys Bollen Turner.

He was a graduate of the Rockmart High School Class of 1962 and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Turner co-owned and operated Val Corporation of Indiana for 26 years. He retired in 1996 and moved back to the south. Mr. Turner became involved in real estate as a real estate broker working with many different agencies. In his younger years enjoyed playing golf and loved to work.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Jarrett Turner in September 2003.

Survivors include three sons, Wade Turner of Houston, Texas, Neil Turner of Marietta and Kevin Turner of Rockmart.

Funeral graveside and interment services for Mr. Turner were held on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the family lot of Rockmart Memorial Gardens with Rev. Owen (Bud) Davis, Jr. officiating.
