The Tallapoosa Circuit Re-Entry Program will be holding workshops starting on Tuesday, Aug. 2 and continuing through Thursday, Aug. 11 and Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon to meet with mentors. A fourth workshop will be coming soon. A monthly board meeting and graduation meeting will be held on Aug. 11, 2016 starting at 1 p.m. with the meeting, and 2:30 p.m. following for the second meeting.

Graduation will be held on Aug. 31 for the two-year program.

The Cedartown City Commission will gather for the September work session on in the city commission meeting room at city hall, located at the corner of East Avenue and Prior Streets in downtown Cedartown.

The regular meeting will follow on Sept. 12, 2016 at 6 p.m.

The Rockmart City Council will have their upcoming meeting on Sept. 13, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the city council meeting room at city hall, located at 316 N. Piedmont St., Rockmart.

The Polk County Board of Education is set to hold their work session on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 at the Polk County Board of Education’s central office on South College Street in Cedartown.

The regular meeting will be held on Sept. 13, 2016.

The Polk County Public Safety and Public Works committees are set to meet on Sept. 1, 2016 starting at 2 p.m. with the Public Safety committee at the Polk County Administration offices at 144 West Ave., Cedartown. The Public Works meeting will follow at 3 p.m.

The Polk County Commission is set to meet in the commission meeting room at the Polk County Police Department on Sept. 11, 2016 at 5:15 p.m. for their monthly work session, followed by the commission’s regular meeting on Sept. 12, 2016 at 7 p.m. Visit polkgeorgia.org to find agendas for the upcoming meetings in the weeks ahead. The Polk County Board of Tax Assessors meets the first Tuesday of each month, at 9 a.m. located in the Polk County Administration Building-Suite F. Their coming meeting is set to be held on Sept. 6, 2016.
