Mrs. Hutcheson

Mrs. Betty Anne (Sumlar) Hutcheson of Stone Mountain, passed away Nov. 12, 2016, at the age of 77.

Mrs. Hutcheson, affectiona­tely known as “Nanny Betty”, loved taking care of the children and grandchild­ren in her family. When not spending time with loved ones, she took pleasure in flower gardening, cooking, and listening to classic country music, especially Conway Twitty,

Mrs. Hutcheson was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hutcheson; parents, Robert “Pete” Lee and Lillian (Byrd) Sumlar; and, sister, Dorothy Sumlar.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-inlaw, Kathy and Chris Dale, Freda Blake, Angela and Frank Boyd, Nancy Bratcher; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Shirley Hutcheson, Marty Hutcheson; twenty-four grandchild­ren; forty great-grandchild­ren; six great-great grandchild­ren; brother, Ronny Sumlar; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Hutcheson will be held Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, 2 p.m., at the Chapel of Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Andrew Pasedag officiatin­g.

Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park.

Friends visited with her family at the funeral home on Monday evening Nov. 14, and on Tuesday evening, Nov. 15.

Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home were in charge of the arrangemen­ts for Mrs. Betty Anne (Sumlar) Hutcheson. be made in her memory to Second Avenue United Methodist Church, 801 E. 2nd Ave, Rome, GA 30161.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Second Avenue Methodist church with Pastor Millie Kim officiatin­g.

Interment followed at Aragon Cemetery in Aragon.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearer­s: Roger McNitt and Jimmy Worley.

A visitation was held Monday evening, Nov. 14, 2016 at Daniel’s Funeral Home.
