Mrs. Deborah L. Cole Knight, age 61, of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016.

She was born on May 29, 1955, the daughter of the late Walter Cole and Jenette Bridges Cole.

Mrs. Knight is survived by her husband, Anthony S. Knight; son, Sterling C. Knight (Jodi); sisters, Diane Coats and Glenda Green and grandson, Cody J. Knight.

A graveside service for Mrs. Deborah L. Cole Knight was conducted on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Northview Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiatin­g.

The family of Mrs. Knight received family and friends on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 prior to the graveside service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The family has requested that flowers are to be omitted and donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Cedartown, 101 N. College Street, Cedartown, Ga., 30125 or to Lime Branch Baptist Church, P.O. Box 141, Cedartown, Ga., 30125.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home handled the arrangemen­ts for Mrs. Deborah L. Cole Knight. ers, Willard Atkins, Lloyd Atkins and Gene Atkins; sisters, Ruby Bell and Elizabeth Stewart.

Mr. Atkins was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean War, and retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service.

He was a member and manager of the American Legion Post 111 and raised the flag at Paulding County High School for 20 years

Survivors include his daughter, Cindy and Mark Hoptroff of Dallas, grandchild, Jeffrey Hoptroff of Atlanta and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at 3 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Samples and Pastor Randy Atkins officiatin­g.

Interment followed in Paulding Memorial Gardens.

Buck Atkins, James Bell, Dennis Stewart, Randy Atkins, Dan Stewart, Chris McAdams and Gene Mullinax served as pallbearer­s.

Clark Funeral Home in Hiram was in charge of arrangemen­ts. Mrs. Hutchins was a great cook and enjoyed embroideri­ng. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Guy Hutchins and seven siblings.

Survivors include a nieced and caregiver, Wilma Jefferson Bradford of Powder Springs; other nieces and nephews also survive.

No memorial services are planned at this time. Following her wish to be cremated, her cremains will be interred by her husband in the family lot of the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
