East Coast Sign Co. opens up

- By Kevin Myrick Editor

A new sign company has opened up in Cedartown under the auspices of a established printing company on Main Street hoping to drum up new business via their already thriving t-shirt company.

Jamie Morris of Cedarstream said that his company has a new division now capable of handling all kinds of signage work called the East Coast Sign Co.

He said the decision to move into the sign business was natural, since there was already a demand to provide a variety of banners, yard signs and more.

“Our customers are constantly asking for it, and we haven’t done it in the past,” he said. “We worked with another sign company for years, and previously when we had a customer want signs we sent work that way. He decided to close and that gave us a decision, either buy his business or start anew.”

All new equipment has been installed in a room being used for the company within Cedarstream, and as business ramps up Morris said he plans to expand.

“We’re doing signs and banners in all kinds of materials, not just vinyl,” he said. “We can make signs on aluminum and wood. We can do decals for windows and lettering, even magnetic decals for cars.”

It’s opened up a whole new field of sales for the business, and Morris said he’s excited about the potential for growth.

“It’s got a lot of possibilities, and there’s really no one around doing it at this level,” he said. “We’re going to slowly build it up.”

Morris said the new company’s website is already up and running and allows customers to go and design their sign without any help from his graphics department if they want, or they can use the services already a part of Cedarstream to get the best look for their banners.

“With our customers, that’s a plus because they’re all over the place,” he said.
