Roman charged with molestation
A Rome man remained in jail Feb. 24 without bond after being accused of aggravated child molestation.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Dwight Howard Bobo, 73, of 2413 Turkey Mountain Road, was arrested Friday on warrants stating that between January 2014 and December 2016, he committed various sexual acts with a child.
Bobo is charged with felony aggravated child molestation.
Report: Rome man had child pornography
A Rome man remained in jail Feb. 24 without bond after being accused of having child pornography. According to Floyd Jail reports: David Alan Trickey, 38, of 105 Coosawattee Ave., was arrested Friday on warrants stating that Trickey had multiple images of young women under the age of 16 engaged in explicit conduct.
Trickey is charged with felony possession of child pornography.
Man charged with manufacturing pot
A West Rome man was arrested Feb. 23 and was in jail without bond, accused of manufacturing marijuana.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
William Kelly Brock, 41, of 795 Billy Pyle Road, was arrested when Floyd County police went to his home and found a small amount of marijuana.
Multiple marijuana plants, which were approximately two feet tall, were also found.
Brock is charged with felony manufacturing marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Brock was also being held on a felony probation violation charge.
Police: Daycar owner left special needs child on bus
The owner of a local day care was charged on Feb. 20 after police said she left a 5-year-old special needs child in a bus unattended for an “extended period of time” on Friday, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Debra Brooks McDaniel, 58, of 22 Westover Drive, is charged with felony second-degree cruelty to children and misdemeanor reckless conduct.
She is the owner of Superkids Early Learning Center.
On Friday, McDaniel reportedly parked and left the bus at her home address without checking for occupants and then left the scene.
The report did not list exactly how long the child was unattended.
She turned herself in at the jail and was released on bond Monday morning.
Report: Rome man took
pipe past guard line
A Rome man remained in jail on Feb. 23 pending $3,900 bond after being accused of having controlled substances.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Timothy Lee Yarbrough, 55, of 203 E. 13th St., was arrested Thursday at 12:25 a.m. on Turner McCall Boulevard after police found a glass pipe containing drug residue.
He also brought a drug-related object past the guard line at the jail.
Yarbrough is charged with felony crossing guard lines with drugs and possession of a controlled substance.
He also is charged with misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects and criminal trespass.
