- From staff reports

On March 25, Nashville-based singer/ songwriter Travis Meadows will perform live at the DeSoto Theatre as part of a joint benefit for the William S. Davies Homeless Shelter and the Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation.

“We are excited to partner with the Wil- liam Davies Homeless Shelter in bringing Travis’s inspirational message to Rome,” says Foundation President Chris Jackson, “Travis Meadows is a survivor, or ‘a riser,’ as he puts it himself in one of his most successful songs recorded by Dierks Bentley.”

With the Foundation agreeing to host the event and the Shelter working on various publicity elements, they are combining energies to enable for more effective fundraising.

“We look forward to raising money for the operation of our newly constructed homeless shelter,” says the shelter’s namesake, William Davies. “Travis Meadows’ message of hope and restoration connects deeply with the heart of our shelter, and we look forward to raising awareness and local support for the shelter.”
