Construction for Tractor Supply Co. underway
The dirt is now flying at the future site of Tractor Supply Company in Cedartown, which finally began clearing the land the store will open on in the coming months.
Land disturbance permits were finally issued for the coming store earlier in the month, allowing for work to get started in earnest this past week after initial clearing was completed following the issuing of the May 8 permit.
Tractor Supply Company made the new store official in late November 2016 after the Cedartown Development Authority gave their nod to allow the site to be setup as a planned unit development in the future.
Construction on the 19,000 - square-foot store with 93 parking spaces should be completed by the end of the summer.
Commission chair Larry Odom initially announced plans for Tractor Supply Company to come to Cedartown during the 2016 State of the Community address.
The store will sit next door and share a portion of roadway with the development that includes Home Depot as the anchor store, and also includes several other smaller stores within the corner shopping area on U.S. 27 at the beginning of the Cedartown bypass.
Check back for additional news about the development in the coming week’s as construction continues on the site.
