Worldview hosts Foster Parent Appreciation dinner
Worldview Baptist Church in Cedartown hosted Polk and Haralson Counties Foster Parent Appreciation dinner and recognition on Tuesday, May 16.
Pastor Doyle Kelley welcomed everyone and music was provided by youth from his congregation — Ella Robinson and Pastor Kelley’s nieceJodie Grace Kelley.
Jennifer Hulsey- Polk County Commissioner read the proclamation s i gned by Polk and Haralson County Commissioners at their recent May meetings proclaiming May as Foster Parent Appreciation in Polk and Haralson Counties.
All parents were given certificates of appreciation and thank you gifts.
Foster parents give selflessly 24 hours a day to children in need and open their hearts and homes.
Polk County currently has 148 children in foster care and only 30 homes.
Haralson County currently has 99 children in foster care and only 23 homes.
