The salutatorian will attend the University of Alabama for a major in nursing so she can get a job at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

“I can’t wait to see where life takes everybody, and I wish luck to all!”

Jodi expressed being sad that her high school journey is over, but looks forward to what the future holds.

The salutatorian is un- decided about returning to Polk County, but is considering “returning to Cedartown and raising a family!”

Maddie Bowman, the third place senior, is the 18- year- old child of James and Stacey Bowman. Maddie plans to attend Jacksonville State University where she will study Nursing.

While Maddie may be attending college in a different state, she still hopes to spend time in Polk County to use her new-found nursing skills to help her hometown.

The third ranking senior is a big fan of sports and has played softball and track throughout high school.

Taking the fifth place spot is Miles Minge who is 18 years old and son to Brandi and Jeff Minge. An avid athlete, Miles has plans to attend Southern Union State Community College for two years on a full- ride baseball scholarship. Afterward, he intends to transfer to the University of Georgia for a major in sports medicine.

Miles is clearly a sports activist and he enjoys playing baseball, basketball, tennis, golf and pingpong.

When not on the field, Miles enjoys fishing and spending time with his friends.

When asked if he had a message for his student peers, Miles said that he would like to thank his classmates for “the many memories and friendships over the years.”

The fifth-ranking senior said t hat his career would have a heavy influence on whether or not he returns to Polk County, but he would “always be a bulldog,” and would “love to come back one day to contribute to the community.”
