‘Heathers’ musical fun throwback to 80’s
On June 5-9, 48 Polk County 4-H’ers recently attended Cloverleaf Summer Camp at Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, Georgia. Cloverleaf 4-H’ers are 5th and 6th grade 4-H members.
Adult volunteers and teen leaders also joined the 4-H staff for a great week. Our teen leaders for the week were, Dalton Ely, Sarah Adair and Zoey Myrick
Georgia 4-H Summer Camp at Rock Eagle provides an outdoor summer program unparalleled in the nation. An array of workshops offered a hands-on experience that made learning fun.
Of course swimming, putt putt, nature trail and night hikes, crafts, and plenty of indoor and outdoor recreation time made sure that our week at camp was fun-filled from beginning to end.
Classes and workshops included: archery, canoeing, conservation, entomology, forestry, herpetology, high ropes/adventure elements, HOP! (Health is Our Pledge), lake ecology, sailing, wildlife and more.
Georgia's 4-H summer camping program, administered through the county offices of UGA Cooperative Extension, offers a 4-H summer camping experience unparalleled in the nation.
Over 8,000 children ages 9-19, accompanied by over 1,000 adult and teen leaders, annually descend on five unique 4-H centers for a week of camp that will be reflected upon for years to come.
Every camp offers great adventure, friendship and fun, and all seek to develop the camper’s Head, Heart, Hands and Health to make him or her a better person.
