Mrs. Dorothy Almira "Dot" Bentley, age 70, of Rockmart, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 28, 2017 following an extended illness.

Mrs. Bentley was born on Nov. 20, 1946 in Polk County, a daughter to the late Pinkney McBride and Frances Duggar McBride.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert McBride.

Mrs. Bentley was a longt i me member of t he Eastview Baptist Church of Cedartown. Mrs. Bentley loved her family, her friends and her church family dearly.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Mr. John Bentley; her daughters and sons in law, Gail Bentley, Dana and Ricky Allen and Amanda and Patrick Griffin; her brother, Delois McBride; her sister, Joan Mitchell; three grandchild­ren, twelve great grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Almira "Dot" Bentley were conducted on Saturday afternoon, July 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Eastview Baptist Church with Dr. Dewayne New, Rev. Randy Vines, Rev. Zachary Bentley, Rev. Corey Smith and Rev. Reginald Campbell officiatin­g.

Interment followed in the Eastview Baptist Church Cemetery..

The family received friends on Friday evening, June 30, 2017 at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.

The following Gentlemen served as pallbearer­s: Ronnie Campbell, Glenn Campbell, Dallas Holcomb, J. R. Weeks, Wayne Weaver and Bobby McBride. Mrs. Bentleys grandchild­ren were honorary pallbearer­s.
